Topical antibacterial agent, active against those organisms responsible for majority of skin infections, e.g. Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogens Used for treatmnt of all bacterial skin infections

Applied to the affected area up to 3 times daily, for up to 10 days

Not suitable for ophthalmic or intra-nasal use. When Avoban ointment is used on the face, care should be taken to avoid eyes. Glycol can be absorbed from open wounds and damages skin and is execreted by the kidneys
